About William Rhoads

Bill Rhoads obtained his Graduate Degree in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University.

Having a strong desire to work with individuals and families, Bill joined the staff of the Family Service Agency of Princeton. After many years, he entered full-time private practice in his “dream location” — a professional office attached to his home. This has made it possible for him to be available to see people from 8am to 10pm Monday through Friday as well as on weekends.

Clients like the quiet, residential, private location and the very flexible hours, as well as his two, non-allergic, therapy dogs.

While at Family Services Bill was the District Director and was responsible for staff training. Bill has served as an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers Graduate School of Social Work, Trenton State College School of Counseling, Yeshiva University Wurtzweiler School of Social Work and Oberlin College School of Social Work.

He continues to take extensive training programs offered by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, National Association of Social Workers and the Eriksonian Institute.

Bill has had intensive training in individual and family therapy, alcohol addiction, couples communication skills, (Master Teacher of PAIRS: Application of Intimate Relationship Skills), working with families, pre and post divorce and helping parents negotiate and provide the best parenting possible while dealing with the pain and anger of divorce. He also works with couples struggling with the effects of an affair and/or sex addiction, which now can show up on the Internet or chat rooms.

Bill is a therapist who experiences the richness of loving what he does as a therapist and working in an office that supports warmth and growth.
